Best for Claude Code and claude.ai. SKILL.md is already a valid Agent Skill, so no conversion is needed.

Claude runtimes don't have OpenClaw's webhook-transform hook, so proactive notifications need a reachable callback URL or polling. See /agents.md and agents/claude.md in the package.

Hermes & open runtimes

Best for open-weight / self-hosted models (Hermes, Llama, Mistral, Ollama, vLLM). Athos is a plain REST API — load SKILL.md as context and call it directly.

3. Call the API with a Bearer token

   Set ATHOS_API_URL / ATHOS_API_KEY, register this installation with PUT /api/v1/program/client-capabilities/current, then authenticate every request.

4. Use the confirmed-contract onboarding flow

   Start with GET /api/v1/program/enrollment. A fresh persisted:false account is unenrolled even if its compatibility mode says legacy. Interview with POST /api/v1/onboarding/chat, save evidence with POST /api/v1/onboarding/complete, then review GET /api/v1/onboarding/contract, correct with PATCH /api/v1/onboarding/contract, and confirm with POST /api/v1/onboarding/contract/confirm.

No hook system → poll GET /api/v1/onboarding/progress while onboarding, then read GET /api/v1/program/active after activation. Send the four X-Athos-* capability headers on V2 program requests. See agents/hermes.md in the package.

Other / custom runtime

Best for any other agent, hosted runtime, or custom skill/hook layout. Download the portable package and point it at your own directories.
